Tier2 (General) Urgent

Hi,
I havesecured job in UK and applying for tier2(gneral) visa. Just now came to know that No ILR for tier2 visas. is it correct?
How long I will get work permit under tier2?
How long I can extend it once it expires?
Am I eligible for ILR after that?

Could you please answer it ASAP.

If you are granted Tier 2 General then you can apply for ILR after 5 years. Its closed for Tier 2 ICT only

You can extend for any duration upto 5 years (based on CoS). The maximum stay under Tier 2 General is 6 years.
