Hi Krishna
Congrats !

I will be going for ILR in next 6 months time. Could you specify how many days you were outside uk with in 5 years and what short of reasons and evidence you provided?

Here is my days outside uk
1 year - 55 days
2 year - 0 days
3 year - 19 days
4 year - 27 days
in total 101 days, and all are my personal/holiday visits.

could you give your views on what kind of details to be provided for the absences?

Many thanks
Raj

Hi Raj

Thanks.

I just mentioned in my cover letter that I was out on personal travel. No need to provide evidence as long as they are less than 180 days.
I had some business travel included for which I provided letters from employers.

regards
Krishna

only last 12 months employment details are needed. Not 5 yrs. we do not have any section asking to explain that. I suggest you go through the application first. You will get almost all the answers. Then try to support everything you write in the application with evidence. This is what I have done always and was successful. If you still have questions, a friendly forum is here to help you.
Cover letter and list of docs - I will post them in a new post soon today.

I'm a perm employee. Section 11 asks us to submit documents which we used for our application prior to entering UK and I had submitted those for me and dependant. No questions were asked to me at all. I was only asked to verify if they have returned me all the documents which I had submitted which is after approval.
