Spouse name inclusion on passport

I am about to apply for the EC.

My wifes passport is in her maiden name. Would I need to include my name to my wifes passport for the EC process and her dependent visa?

Would appreciate any feedback on the same. Need this urgently as if I am to apply for the changes to the passport, it would take quite some time.

No, there is no requirement under English law for a wife to take her husband's name.

You should, of course, have your marriage certificate to show that you are married.

We have a marriage certificate. However, her name on the marriage certificate has my last name.

Do you reckon that could pose as an issue?
