Had an appointment today and they will send it today even though my ILR date is 2nd April.

Quite efficient, all done in under 10 minutes.

Good to hear! Which NCS did you go to? Looks like it's time for an April timeline thread to begin.

Quick question, since your ILR was done after 28th October 2014 .., did you tick that box in the Life in the UK and Language section that says "I met the knowledge of language and life requirement to qualify for settlement on or after 28th October 2013"?

Just trying to be sure, as I passed my test BEFORE this date but got my ILR .. AFTER this date!

When you say you passed your test before 28th Oct 2013, are you referring to the English language test or the LITUK test? Or did you do a single test which covered both before that date?

I am referring to the LITUK test that I passed before 28th Oct 2013, that I believe covered both Language and Life requirements. Hence, when I applied for ILR (after this date) it was granted without any English language test.

Ok, understood. I now remember the changes you are referring to. There were no changes made to the LITUK test itself, what changed in October 2013, was the English Language (KoL - Knowledge of Language) aspect of the requirement for settlement & naturalisation. As your application was submitted prior to 28th Oct 2013, the rules that would have applied would have been those at the time (even though your ILR was only granted after 28th Oct 2013 - I assume it was a postal application?) my understanding is that you should not tick the option which says you met the requirements after 28th Oct 2013.

So in essence you need to now satisfy the English language requirement for your naturalisation application.

just want to explain if some one has applied ILR after 28 October 2013 then he already fulfill KOL requirement for Naturalization application thats why they have given option there.

this is basically for those who has done IELTS or any B1 qualification 2 year expiry at the time of ILR they dont need to get new one even after expiry

I have Ticked all three option include i have met at the time of ILR and has send my life in UK test and Expired IELTS with my application.

I applied through same day appointment in December 2013 and was granted on the same day. It's just that I had cleared LITUK test before 28th October 2013. So that's why I ticked that option which says I met the requirements after 28th Oct 2013 as I was granted ILR after 28 Oct.

Had my appointment today, the NCS staff asked for English Certificate. I explained them that my ILR was granted after 28th Oct 2013 and hence doesn't apply on me... but their lame argument was .. 'everyone submits it'. I said to them that I've gone by the Guide and the Booklet, not by what everyone does.

The Booklet specifically says on page 16 (exactly what Miangee commented):

If you have already satisfied the requirement to have sufficient knowledge of language and life in the UK, on or after 28 October 2013, you do not have to demonstrate it again.

I have submitted the copy of my degree , screenshot of points calculator and expired IELTS anyway, as I had it with me and the NCS staff said its better to submit.

I'll be very upset if they don't accept the option I ticked 'qualified for ILR after 28 Oct' even though their own booklet says otherwise as above. Let's see what happens next ....

Your situation is clearer now. As you both applied and were granted ILR after 28th Oct 2013 (I.e. I misunderstood what you initially mentioned), you are correct in what you said, you shouldn't need to prove your KoL again for naturalisation.

I can only assume the NCS staff are not all aware of the rules or were playing it safe. Either way you should be covered irrespective of that now, because you've also submitted supporting documents for KoL.
