2015 Citizenship Approvals

Hi
How long time will take for the approval of minor's application.

Applied on 23-01-2015 and received the acknowledgement letter on 28-01-2015. So far no information. There is any contact mail id for know the status of the application.

Hi Lads,

I applied for Irish citizenship based on spouse of an Irish citizen in September 2014. I received 2nd stage letter in early october 2014. Since then I have not heard from them. I rang the office this morning and I was told that my application is at the last stage. Does anyone know how long more do I have to wait. Your response will be highly appreciated.

any convictions gaps spcial problem if not you will get it before 20th april

No conviction nor gaps. I have been working in the country since 2005. Paid thousands in taxes. 4 irish citizen children and Irish citizen wife.

if you wouldnt like to share thats fine but there has been cases where people got asylum and stamp 4 after that got refusals or delay for long long time i m only trying to help you can read about a case a guy got refused for no reason wife got irish citizenship and kids were irish and the case was won in high court cause minister couldnt furnish the reason to refuse

· The Garda Central Vetting Unit and the Fixed Charge Penalty Office are now operational in Thurles;
· The Data Protection Commissioners Office has moved to Portarlington;
· Sections of the Property Registration Authority have moved to  Roscommon town;
· Navan now hosts staff from the Garda Civilian Human Resources Unit, the National Property Services Regulatory Authority, the Probation Service and the Coroners Unit; and
· The Equality Authority now has an Office in Roscrea.

No one here works in the citizenship divison, neither we have a crystal ball. Is that simple!

Of course it does! Hence the different documents each perrson has to provide based on the 'category' of their application (asylum/marriage/Irish associations/5yrs residency).

I bet there is a period of unlawfull residency in the history. No one who resides in the country and is married to an Irish national and/or Irish citizen (there's a difference!) wait over 5yrs to make an application when they can do it at the 36 months mark

Working here since 2005 doesn't imply you were doing so under the eyes of the law.
I.e from 2004:
Daniel: arrived on a tourist visa - worked for 5yrs, paid taxes yet had no right to apply for citizenship (illegal immigrant).
George: arrived on a student visa - registered self employed for 10yrs. Although time on student visa does not count for citizenship he hired a solicitor and voilà! in 2014 he was granted Irish citizenship.
I have a feeling they are your fellows country mates...

well i always thought and defo sure people waiting here long time difinatly have some complexity in their cases thats why they dont share but they dont understand one thing by not sharing uts not a helpful forum and apart from all this no one each other anyway i m on this forum for last 4 month dont know any one any way

how do you describe traffic conviction paid fines in court
big problem too and specially if they are 5yr old and been clean since than how they look all those things
any sugestion

cas these guys taking this forum to wrong direction by telling half the story and making other paranoids and stressed we all know how sttressfull is waiting and all this process is .... and after all no one knows any one here its all made up usernames

you know its easy to say and very hard to do it lol you been there mate ... if you are busy than time pass quick but whenever you get couple of days off start think again and wats going on how long why etc all the rubbish question and then these guys on this forum tell you half the story and you even get stress more like example one guy didnt tell about him and his wife was on social and kept talking about traffic convictions same problem twice no insurance than we start stress about things gesus he got refusal same problem as us means wats goin to happen to us and all etc you know wat i mean i think people should share cause no one know any one here like i dont know you all i know your user name is okfokie and you got your approval recently lol

I know what you mean and I totally understand. I would suggest use PM if you have to ask any thing in particular. I know there were ppl who got their approvals with offences, court hearings etc. But my point getting worried about it does not make any difference. Nothing is in your control. Going through these forums you will notice there are/were all sort of cases and most of them got through. I think its not even 6 months since you applied. There are people waiting who applied earlier than you. Do you have any convictions/fines?

yes 2008 caught speeding 60k in 50 zone i forgot the license at home and you the the way speeding comes with failiure to prodice license / no license/ no insurance/faliure to produce insurance etc
went to court
judge charge me just €200 fine for speeding only and
and faliure to produce license/failiure yo produce insurance
taken into to consideration no fine no panelty point no charges

2010 had two parking fine thst i didnt even knew about you probably know the way in south dublin county they dont clamp they just put a ticket in the window and i never got it cas of change of address and i found out when gaurd rang me from my local garda station and i went and paid the fine
€160 and €140 gaurd took care of it .
so basically
i attached 3 reciept
€200 speeding 2008
€160 failiure to pay parking ticket 2010
€140 failiure to pay parking ticket

sorry to jump in this post as I am reading some of you recently got their citizenship.. congrats.
I am just wondering how to calculate the Residency calculator as everyone saying different things. please not my citizenship basis on stamp 4 EUfam

I got married with EU citizen on march 2010.
DOJ received my EU1 application on 26/05/2010.
They issued me 6 month temporary stamp 4 from 12/08/2010 to 25/11/2010. I did not get stamp endorsment as I had 1 year student valid visa, waited for 5 years letter from DOJ.

Minister granted a permission to me on 16/05/2011 for 5 years endorsement for stamp4 EUfam. expiry 12/05/2015. ( as my passport expiry)

I have applied for Retention of residence card recently because we are separated and proceeding divorce. Retention application's decision still due.

Now I am wondering, from what date my 5 years time period would start? and am I eligible to apply for Permanent Resident card? or Citizenship??

Please assist.
