If you don't mind me politely asking out of curiousity: to get 45 pts for past earnings, you need to have made over 60,000 british pounds in a year right? What sort of degree and what do you do to be under 27, have a completed bachelor's degree, and are already making the equiv to 60,000ish british pounds a year?

I will have 50 pts in 2 yrs (age 23 at that time) for being under 27 and having a bachelor's, but I see no way to make the salary for the remaining points..

Hi Gattaca..
I just turned 26. And I can explain the earnings simply since I work in India (which is a Band D country), I dont have to make 60000 GBP for 45 points. I just need 7500 GBP a year. In my case it was way above that.

BTW.. I am a software engineer by profession working in India for a giant US company. :)

Cheers..

august 29: application fedex-ed
august 31: delivered at sheffield
september 05: hsmp number emailed
september 12: urgent treatment request faxed
september 18: emailed reminder for urgent treatment
september 20: received email that decision was taken on September 14 and documents airmailed same date
therefore, left with no chance to have them couriered! :(
phoned to ask about decision - "it's been approved," she said.
october 03: haven't received the documents yet (they were despatched september 14)
the last time i applied they reached me in oman by airmail in around 10 days.
lost in the mail this time? :?

Got approval! :)

Docs sent on 22nd Sep
Reached on 25th Sep morning
Got ref number on 26th
Approval on 3rd Oct and dispatched on the same day, but it will take some time to reach Bangalore (India), as there is postal strike in UK from 4th Oct.

Any idea how long it takes to reach India, and when this strike is suppose to end?

Thanks to everyone for your valuable comments.
