Got approval today (dated 26th March 15) for my wife (applied on 10th March 2015) but no news about mine (applied on 11th Feb 2015). But Approval letter has got my application acknowledgement reference. Any Idea why is that?? Hoping that they linked up wife application with mine and mine is in a post. Will ring homeoffice on Tuesday to confirm this.

I had a feeling this morning but nothing just junk was delivered.


In the meantime I have been waiting for my passport but I am struggling with it. Applied on 26/2 and still don't have it and passport people have no idea what's going on. Asked pictures twice, now they want a new form with the same countersigner but no one knows if he was accepted or not. So it's a chaos...
There is alwaus something to worry about. But that's life

As per the new AN application from march 2015 onwards. Do we now need to send our original passport and biometric card with our AN application? Usually NCS from local council check the original passport and BRP, photocopy and certify the documents and give back the original passport and BRP card to us.

Can somebody please clarify this?

Yes, you're right. The earlier they take the money, the earlier we will get the Brown Envelope.

Just my current passport and the naturalisation certificate. You can pick up a form at any bigger post office. There is a booklet with the form and at the end there is a page where you give your card details. You need to fill it in and attach with your form. That's all. They will send you a letter to make appointment for an interview.

I was glad to find brown envelope in my mailbox as acknowledgment went to my previous employers address!
Fortunately chap who was opening mail was decent enough to forward it.
It seems UKBA are really making good progress with EEA PR applications. Some of my friends who made direct BC applications have been waiting for months. On the other side - my PR took half a year.

Thanks a bunch Jaweb, for the information. Have my ceremony on the 16th April, will mail the form after the ceremony. So crossing my fingers and toes everything will work out for me by the end of this month. I still need to start looking into giving back my Indian passport and getting a OCI card next
