Hello All
I am on a WP and I wish to sponser my father (Indian national) a visitor visa for 2 years,. Could someone let me know what form I should use and what supporting documents I have to provide.
If my father is granted visa for 2 years does he have to enter UK within six months of stamping? could someone advice me on this please.

As a concession outside the Immigration Rules children over the age of 18 and dependent parents can join you if:

- you are an intra-company transferee who has been posted to the UK by your employer

- the person applying:
> is genuinely dependent upon you
> is, and will remain, part of the family unit
> will not seek to stay in the UK after your stay has ended

i think he will be able to get the 2 year visitor visa only if you can prove that he intends to be a frequent visitor to the UK. i think it is mainly reserved for say business people who regularly visit the UK. if he does get it, i am not sure if he has to enter within six months, but i also think once he enters he wont be allowed to stay for more than 6 months at any one time
