HSMP renewal - earlier than due date?

Post by global gypsy » Fri Sep 28, 2007 5:41 pm

My HSMP renewal is due around May'08. But I expect to be outside the country around that time on work. Is it possible to apply for renewal before the due date, say, couple of months earlier? I had read here some time back that someone may have done just this...

Also, I want to get the IELTS test out of the way. If I take this early, what's the process for providing the scores to Home Office when I am ready with my renewal application? Do I include the scores report with my application or request IELTS to send the report directly?

Thanks in advance for your help.

They seem to normally accept an early application if you have a good reason for doing so. Write a covering letter and attach a letter from your employer stating the requirement for you to travel over the particular time period, and you should be fine.

You do nto need to ask IELTS centre to send directly to HSMP. You could just submti it together with your application. This is advisibale as you know for sure that you send it together with your application.

FLR

Post by global gypsy » Sun Oct 07, 2007 7:21 am

Thanks again.

I have one further question, this time on filling out the FLR(HSMP) form.

The guidance note (page 22) states the following related to submission of evidence for educational qualification:
"Please note: If the qualification for which you are claiming points is one that you previously relied upon to obtain points under your initial HSMP application, you will not need to resubmit the same documentary evidence."

Does this mean I don't need to provide evidence of my educational qualification if I had included this with my initial HSMP applicaiton?
Has anyone here done this on their FLR application?
