Surinder Singh - Rep of Ireland - Help!

Post by scottyniham » Sun Apr 12, 2015 12:28 pm

Im really confused and lawyers aren't helping...

Ill explain it from the beginning.

Me and my fiance have lived together in the UK for the last 9 months. We have been together for almost 2 years. He has been an overstayer for a year. The best route for us is Surinder Singh. We plan to go to Dublin in May. There just seems to be constant new problems with this though. My lawyer explained the marriage process as if it was a simple as making toast. But I realise now there will be some problems. 3 months notice must be given in advance and passports etc must be given.

Can anyone elaborate? :(
