Please pray for a successful, swift, trouble-free and fast turn around of my application.
Congratulations, i received letter dated 31/03/2015 as well on 10/04/2015 and I called council twice and they said they were busy so they will call me later or monday, they didn't call on Friday so i will need to wait, did you manage to book yours?
Also I'm a bit confused as some people ln forum have mentioned they received approval and waiting for invitation letter, are there 2 separate letters?
I have received one which says " citizenship invitation"
Application for British citizenship by ...
I am pleased to tell you that this application for b c has been successful. To complete the process you will need to attend a citizenship ceremony...
So is this the one through which i can book ceremony and get certificate or would i be getting something else?
Its a bit confusing and worrying as it took 6 months to get the approval already.

My Application was received on 30-Mar (Royal Mail Tracking), no fee has been deducted. From what I'm seeing on the forum, this could be tomorrow. fingers crossedbruschetta wrote:Guys,
anyone who applied (application received by the HO) around the 30th of March and got the payment processed?
I spoke with my solicitor and looks like that due to fee increase, there has been a spike in applications to submit them before the April date and now there is a huge backlog.
Let me know
Cheers

I applied on the 31st (receive on 1st April). I'd imagine most people would apply as soon as they are eligible for Naturalisation, so i don't imagine this "Spike" in applications would be stray too far from the normal, because either you are eligible on that date or you aren't. Even then i'd imagine the home office can anticipate this "spike" because they've been increasing fees every year since their inception, so they should allocate more workers when they anticipate it too happen.bruschetta wrote:Guys,
