Does the 20 year rule still exist?

Post by ThisYear » Tue Apr 14, 2015 7:42 pm

Hi All,

I'm just looking at my options....recently granted 30 months DL (10 yr route) after a long battle with the HO.

I will be clocking 20 years soon (mostly overstayed) and was wondering if I can apply for I'll then. I have 2 BC children.

No, it's a 10 year route to settlement you're on. You may switch to FLR(M) if you have a settled or British spouse and meet the other requirements, that'll reduce your settlement period to 5 years.
