"Please note that the Independent Chief Inspector’s report of 11 December 2014 highlighted that some individuals had not been subject to sufficient scrutiny in relation to their immigration history. We have now revised our guidance and are looking at those cases in detail to assess the impact these changes will have on the outcome of the application for British citizenship."

I think I have seen this before.... Just worried how my driving offence 3 points and fine will impact... Conditional offer, never been to court and paid straight away, in may 2009, so over 5 years ago... Mentioned this in 3.7 and explained on the page 15... That was the only incident I had. Just wondering, do they actually contact referrers? I can always ask them and if they were approached with an enquiry about my character, then I would know that the case is moving? I have never been good at waiting..... :-S

very sorry for ur loss.

why dont u ask ur MP to ask HO that how come feb and march applicants r getting their approvals?
Is that 11 Dec report not effecting them?
If checks r getting done on all application due to 11 dec report than how come one application is taking 3 weeks to approve and others waiting for more than 6 months?

My friend waited for his ILR for about a year, but got it without ever contacting anyone in HO. Then his citizenship was very fast (about two weeks I think). So there is no set rule as far as I can see.

Hi Everyone,

I am wondering for all those people waiting for their decision for over 6 months. I think its the right time to write a letter to HO as complaint for not deciding the application or atleast a letter to say that you application is complicated and it will take longer than 6 months period.

This is really annoying to have to wait and no updates what so ever.

I have contacted my local MP and was told as the Parliament is dissolved until General Election, so he cannot be able to help me for now so I thought it might an idea to Write to HO and ask them for an answer as soon as.

Any advice anyone gone through same situation.

Thanks

"Fwd079" thanks alot for updating it and I'm so happy to see my name in green finally.
A quick question my approval letter says "citizenship invitation"
Underneath somewhere it says "please note the documents may take upto 2 working days to arrive" does this mean i will be reciving something else for which i should wait or is this the only letter i shall be expected to take with me for ceremony?

Thanks again :-)

I don't think so. If you applied through NCS, your originals are already with you, just call local council and book ceremony.

I have posted the nauralisation application on 28/03/2015 using next day service, but havent got any response yet.
neither the fees has been deducted from my bank account.

not sure what's the cause of this delay?

Eligibility criteria: Tier1 + 1 year ILR
Language criteria met UK degree
Method of application: NCS
Council name if NCS used: Waltham Forest
Date of application: 03/10/14
Payment method CC/DC, Personal cheque, Bankers cheque etc: DC
Date of receipt by UKBA: 06/10/14
Date of acknowledgment: 15/10/14
Date of debit or clearance of fees:15/10/14
Date approval received: 15/04/2015 ( Letter Dated 8th of April)
Date of ceremony: 3rd June 2015 ( Most likely will book a private one to get over and done with :-) )

Relieved and happy to get my approval today after nearly 6 and half months of waiting. I did write to FurtherNationalityEnquiries@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk , last friday and asked for update after 6 months had elapsed. I have not received reply as yet as its only been 4 days and their SLA is 20 days and not sure if it made any difference. I also called the customer service on Monday and they took my number and said someone would call me back within 4 days. I received the call this morning and the guy said decision has been made and letter was sent out on Friday the 10th. However, he did not tell me what the outcome was. One thing I will suggest is if 6 months have passed then do write to Further Enquiries email address given above as I have seen a few others recommend in doing so as it sort of helped in their cases I guess. As everyone said before, I will be no different and say the same thing Good luck to all of you who are still waiting and keep the faith and it will soon come like it did for me and others. I know and understand some days waiting gets a bit too much but All is well that ends well :-)
