not only did the UKBA receive your application on a bank holiday (3rd April), when postmen don't even deliver, they also debited your fees on the next working day. Your application must have been prioritised ahead of all those other applications that hadn't even debited their fees, that were posted weeks before yours

Call me skeptical but this is a load of 419, don't believe everything thats written online people

Probably general processing such as sorting mail, which can be done by weekend staff. I doubt your caseworker works on weekends, they have lives and have to go home to their families just like the rest of us.

First of all congrats Mohrru :) I live in Northern Ireland too. I was wondering did HO ask you for subject access access form? I think it's called dat2 form that you fill the form and take it to police station. Some of my mates told me that when you apply from Northern Ireland, HO sends a letter and requests you to do a police check etc., were you asked to do anything like that?

I have sent my application in March and they still did not ask anything like that. Your response will be appreciated as nobody has a clue about it :)

Thanks, Ironmaiden. No idea about dat2 form to be honest - neither PSNI nor UKVI have requested this from me. They most likely have done some sort of checks with PSNI in the background but nothing that would involve me in a way of supplying them another document. I simply followed the process outlined online and in the AN1 guide/booklet and there was no provision for special/additional paperwork for NI.
Good luck in any case!

All,

Please keep calm. Approval letters are distributed by post and you can get it on any day. Also, I don't think we should waste our time and pollute this thread by questioning anyone's time lines. To each his/her own.

It doesn't matter if someone else has gotten it in hours/days/months.. it will not affect your timelines. Timelines here are only to be taken as a faint indication of average processing times.
