Post by abadreddine » Sat Apr 18, 2015 8:34 pm

How can we show that our job is in the shortage occupation list ??
Foe example the job I am applying for is for "power consultant" whereas in the list of the ukpa its called "power system engineer"
I believe its the same but how can I or the company show this

by the sponsor putting the corresponding information in the CoS - choice of SOC code and job description.

the sponsor chooses the SOC code, provides the job description (which must conform to what is in the shortage occupations list) and indicates that it is a shortage occupation hence exempt from RLMT
