Looks like good news. They might merge those who applied in late 2014 and early 2015 and send approvals soon. Maybe in May?

Hi all,
Rang this morning and was told my file was submitted to the Minister for decision in March and also received a response to the email I sent yesterday with the message below.
"Your application is at an advanced stage & you will be informed of the Ministers decision as expeditiously as possible"
Regards
Citizenship Division
Hopefully it will be anytime soon and good luck to everyone waiting.

Hey guys, congrats to everyone who finally got their Irish citizenship!
I applied last October 2014 and got the second stage letter dated 18 November. Was hoping to be included in the April ceremony but it was not to be. Anybody in the same boat?
May I also ask, is it mandatory to send them my renewed GNIB details (renewed on 11 November) or do I wait for them to send a letter asking for it??? Should I email them to confirm? Thank you for all the advice.

I haven't. I was just assuming 6 months from my application, I would probably be accepted already... but not yet. Do you think they're waiting for my renewed gnib (or will ask for it soon) ? Is that causing the delay?

guys i want to share my experience in delaying applications. In my experience inis staff who is dealing with your application can delay or increase the speed of your application.
I applied for my son in March 2013 and didnt get approval till only last week when i send a an email to citizenship info that i will contact minister directly if i did'nt get approval in next few weeks, and that works.so if the person who is dealing with your application is sitting on your application thats where it cause delays if the time period surpass more than 1 year and vice versa.best of luck to all

My father just received his invite letter. Letter posted 21 April. He is Stamp 4/Spouse of Irish. Lived here for 8 years now. That took a while
Hopefully mine comes in soon, applied same time as him (October 2014). Not too long now...

Do you mean approval right? as no ceremony has been announced therefore it can't be an invite letter.

Yes. Sorry for the confusion, I meant approval letter from the Minister, NOT invite.
