Sent an email requesting confirmation my case is being treated urgently got this reply:

Dear Customer,

"Thank you for your request for urgent treatment.

Please note that cases approved for urgent treatment are worked in
order of
the date the application was received, NOT by the date by which a
decision
has been requested. As such, processing times for urgent applications
are
dependent on the number of requests received and an accurate processing
time
can not be given."

Does this mean it is being treated urgently??

Hello Drewchad, I assume it does mean it is being treated urgently.

I don’t think it means anything really. What they are saying is just confirming what has been said on this forum already. That there is a queue of ‘urgent’ cases received and preference is given to those who applied first. So if one sends their job offer today having initially applied in June and you sent your Job offer last Thursday having initially applied in October or November, they will look at the June applicant’s case first even though he sent in his job offer a week or so after you. And then if another person from june or july comes along with a job offer, his application will go ahead of you in the queue and so on. So it is hard for them to determine when your case will be looked at because they don’t know how many job offers they will get. However I think they only look at them on a certain day of the week (Friday) ( this is based on information from a post we got on this forum sometime ago), and once they start looking at the case say today, anything they receive after today will start another queue, so I think at most you will wait for 2 weeks to hear from them unless of course there is an overwhelming amount of other urgent cases to look at
