Who can certify docs?

Post by shahmeer75 » Fri Apr 24, 2015 9:52 am

Hi,

I am applying for wife settlement visa and need to certify my passport photocopy. I am wondering if an account certified and/or a teacher certified copies be good enough for home office application?

I know an account but he does not have a stamp just only his accountancy certificate ref. no. He agreed to sign the documents after seeing the originals.

If not, I can go to my university and request admin department to sign my docs.

Solicitors take a lot of money just to certify one or two pages.

Thanks!

An accountant or a teacher won't be acceptable. Copies of official documents need to be legally certified by a solicitor or a notary.
