No "Bachelor of Engineering" on PBS Calculator?

Post by theroyale » Sun Mar 22, 2015 10:22 pm

I'm pretty sure this was there when I applied for previous Tier-1 extensions in 2012 and 2014. Now when I select 'India' then 'Tamil Nadu' in the dropdown I only see a "Bachelor of Science / Arts / Commerce". I don't see a Bachelor of Engineering which is what is stated on my degree certificate.

Any thoughts? Can I just select the "Bachelor of Science / Arts / Commerce" ?

I think I just selected Bachelor's Degree (I did my BE in comm sci). Just make sure you write the correct qualification on the form.

What about the "Professional Bachelor degree" in the list?

Thanks, going to apply with selecting "Professional Bachelor degree", with the relevant 'subject' (IT / Computer Science) selected in the next dropdown.

Just to update. I took the printout from the PBS calculator with me but didn't submit it on the day. Just submitted degree cert and also ticked the box that said "Have cleared english lang requirement as part of previous tier-1 application". This seemed to suffice, no questions asked about it (it was a PEO appt) and ILR granted.

3 ticks in 4.3:

Life in the UK test pass

recognised standard of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or
PhD in the United Kingdom

UK NARIC has confirmed that the qualification was
