Are the gross details on the letter 100% the same as the gross details on the payslips (ie currency) without any discrepancies? Does the gross amount match 100% the gross amount on the payslips without any discrepancies? Is the letter on headed paper and signed? If the answer is yes to all three then you are ok.

see if you can have columns for net salary and deductions too.
your employee code, date of joining, your designation too.

if they credit to a corporate bank account of yours then mention the bank name with your account number.

My employee code, date of joining and designation is there.

Other attributes like net salary, deductions and account numbers look difficult. However they are there on the salary slips.

How important do you think these are ? I would not like to talk to my employer again, unless they are really important.

Thanks.

My employer letter was simple. In my opinion, as long as the information can be corroborated with an income tax form or wagslips then thats it. Employer contact details are also needed on the cover letter.

VV Sample of my employer letter VV

COMPANY LOGO AND ADDRESS

MY ADDRESS

Dear Mr XXXX

Re: Gross Earnings from XX/06 to XX/07

Further to your recent request please see the following:

XX/06 XX Gross

Total Gross from XX to end of Tax Year 2006 XX Gross

XX/07 XX Gross

Total Gross this tax year to date XX Gross

We now submit this for your attention.

Thanks Constant. Looks like I would be able to make it to HSMP this time. I am providing salary slips, letter from employer, form-16 & ITR, bank statements, IELTS Test Report, degree certificate, driving licence & notarised copy of perosnal details.

One more question. My plan is to get the HSMP letter first and then ask my company to place me in UK on WP by January second week. Once I am in UK, then apply for FLR. IS there any problem with this. Will there be any problem with the processing of WP if I have an HSMP approval with me.

Thanks for the reply.

Re: Letter from Employer - Urgent

Post by prem12 » Tue Oct 09, 2007 4:50 pm

Hi All,

Need your urgent help here. I had requeted my employer for the letter on the pretext of applying for loan and he is going to mention the same as the purpose of the letter: something like 'This letter is issued to help him apply for loan'

Is that all right or causes problem in the application.

Regards.

I don't see why this would be a problem if the information is correct.

Thanks Victoria for the reply.

The information is all correct. Have you seen cases wherein the letter has this kind of text mentioned andhas been accepted by the CW.

Thanks for your reply.

my employer added a line saying " this letter is being issued to her for the purpose of issue of visa" - hope casewoker does not read too much into that line and misinterpret
i told the HR vice president the real reason why i wanted the letter - i figured the company really cant take offence to one's personal aspirations especially if you have been with the company for a reasonable period of time.

hi prem12,

Even my employer had given me the exact letter, saying that this letter was given to him for applying loan, and it was accepted by HO and I just got my HSMP approved. Hope this helps.

Dear All

I got a letter form my employer but I have questions,

The first page is the employer letter head, however the second page is white paper (not letter head). Nearly all information is on first page but the last sentence & signatures are on second page.

Moreover, since the HR Manager was not there hence her Deputy signed.

Would these issue matter. please advise.

Thanks
