Hi ,I have a stamp4 Ireland and want to go to London for the weekend with my family,my wife and two sons have Irish passport all,do I need a visa? Thank you for your help.

You either need a visa or an EEA family permit.

Both are free of charge and will be easy to obtain as the family member of an EU citizen.

No you can't get these at the airport, you will need t apply online and get it from the UK embassy. See here for the family permit which is the easiest one: https://www.gov.uk/family-permit

Not sure how long it takes, sorry (but would guess it can't take longer than visa processing times, which I believe are usually 1-2 weeks). And yes as far as I know it is always 6 months (and you can renew for free as many times as you want).
