Starting business under Dependent visa Tier 2 (General)

Hi there,

I hold a Tier 2 (General) visa but my wife has a Tier 2 Dependent visa .

My question is can she be allowed to start a business in the UK and register a pvt ltd company?

yes absolutely my partner (t2 general dependent) has registered his limited company 2 months back.

Not all banks will allow dependent to open a business account. HSBC does. Hope this information helps.

Thank you both for your replies, but does this mean I can join the new company as well? (provided its in the same field on what I am doing on my first job, basically can I join for a second job and would work less than 20 hrs as that's allowed)

as long as u can prove that its less than 20 hours and in same SOC code, there is nothing stopping u
