Hi to all,

I am from EU/ Portuguese.Got my CPR or ILR since
December 2014.

On 09/03/2015 I applied for my son 4 years old, UK born.

I used Haringey NCS. The officer told me that for children
normally it takes 2 weeks to get the approval.

I am still waiting and I don't want to apply for my
10 months baby boy before getting the first one decision.

Last week Tuesday I called to HO as some people applied
after me and got their approval already. They said is
not possible to check my son application on the system
we have to wait up to 6 months .

Good luck to all who are still waiting!

Dal

Elections won't make any difference to the application timeline as the staff from the passport office or from UKVI has not got anything to do with voting count. As far as security is concerned their are other measures taken during the elections by central board of intelligence and local police.

Hi I have applied for my two kids aged 7 and 4 on 13th of march. But still waiting for the approval letter as i am a ILR holder. Three days ago i have contacted HMRC and they have taken my son details because i didn't receive an acknowledgement letter for my daughter. today morning they have contacted me and said we received the application but you have have to wait 6 months time period.

My most of the friends got the approval letter with in three weeks time. Long wait I would say.

Good luck of yours.

Thank you!

And now for the ANNOYING part...

I just tried to ring them but the phone line won't ring. I saw they do a live chat, so I asked about booking as their phone line is dead.

They said I have to book my appointment in PERSON at the register office as I am not allowed to do it over the phone!

:( That is so unbelievably inconvenient. I don't live near it, so I have to pay for public transport to book an appointment...

Anyone else had to do this?

That sounds ridiculous. I haven't read anything on this forum about someone having to do that. Although there was one who couldn't get through on the phone.

I'd go today but how do I know if I can go? How do I know it's not a wasted trip and that they for sure have my details from the home office? :(

I'm a stay at home mom, so this is an almost £5 journey I don't want to waste.

I would suggest trying to get through on the phone again before heading down to the town hall.

I've got through on the phone now, and they can't confirm if they've received my info or not and said I had to go book the appointment in person. Argh! :?

congrats to all successful applicants who received their approvals for applications in Feb/Mar. All the best for waiting one (incl me :D ).

Looking at the movement on applications, I feel that 'single' applications (one applicant only) are being processed quite fast.. 3-4 weeks time and Family or multiple (joint) applications are taking time and may as well be on 3 or 4 month cycle?

Is there anyone who is family applicant (3/4 applications) ; applied in March and received approval?

Any views on this?

I haven't been able to book my ceremony yet as when I called they said I need to wait until I receive my invitation letter from them before I can book a private ceremony or even to tell me if they have received my details
