Hey guys,

Anyone who is waiting for their EEA4/PR result for more than 6 months do get in touch with SOLVIT. My case was pretty straightforward but was delayed for more than 6 months. On completion of 6 months I got in touch with SOLVIT (online form on their website), gave details of my case. SOLVIT got in touch with the Home office and decision on my application was made within 3 weeks. People at SOLVIT are amazing. Do contact them if you are in a similar situation.

Hi Guys

Quick update from my side... Yesterday at around 7 pm home office officers came back again.
Gladly I was at home. My husband was away.
They asked me some questions about where and how we met ,who proposed, who and where bought rings, some questions about our wedding , looked at our room ...
I must admit that officers were very friendly and polite... nothing like a horror stories I read before.
They were about 20 min in total. Took notes of everything I said and left.
So I really hope I will hear anything from HO soon.

Hello Good afternoon.

My spouse and i were separated after 2 years of marriage. So it was very difficult for me to provide the documents.

I only sent as much as i can.
Marriage certificate
Birth certificates both for me and my spouse.
Passports and ID card
Payslips from 2008-2014
My personal bank statements
My personal investment funds
My work contract
My correspondence from work
My travel pictures with my spouse and all other personal stuff.
Like, letters from my parents to us on Christmas, birthdays etc
Council tax. Only 2 years
Hmrc letters

They did not ask too many:

when and how I met my husband
When I came to Uk and on what visa
How our relationship started
Why we decided to get married
How proposed
who bought rings
where did we buy rings from
Where is my wedding ring ( i was wearing it)
Where does my husband work
His name and nationality
Who attended our wedding ( names)
why our parents did not attend our wedding
addresses we lived and how long form
when did we move to this flat
what my hubby does for living
when he usually home and where he is at the moment

then they wanted to see our room
asked where his /mine stuff is which I showed
looked at the wardrobe
looked at the shoes upstairs asked what belongs who ( as we live with other guy)

then our flatmate came home and one of the officers asked him couple of questions again ..how long we live here how long he knows us, why he was not at the wedding...not too many as he said he answered all already last time and he has no time for it now. So they left him
that is basicly more or less it...they were very friendly so everything went well I think.
I was trying to find out how long it will take they said all depend on caseworker not them and they could not say any info to me...

Hi Guys,
As we all know the timelines of applicant who applied and post it here. Some applications are quick and some takes longer. But are we the only people who applied? I am sure there are many others who applied and they are not here. It means that we are not fully aware of the actual average processing times. I was thinking to send a survey to few immigration solicitors to ask for average times only for their clients. What do you guys think?

Regards

As it stands right now there hasn't been a referendum on the UK's membership in EU and the EEA which will introduce new laws into the system, so before such new laws are introduced permanent residence cards will still be issued under the current law and once you have this then whatever happens with the EU and EEA will not really affect you.
However what they are planning on is not to completely leave the EU because this will jeopardise the UK's economy, but to have certain laws put in place to protect their boarders, benefits and the NHS but all the will take some time until an agreement is reached.

That’s a good idea however you can get this information directly from UKVI themselves under the Freedom of Information Right.
To make a request go to https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/new/home_office

My RoR was issued on A4 paper, as like you I requested my passport back, I needed to fly to the US.

When I contacted HO then I was told that I would need to make new application, but I didn't bother.

Sometimes it's quite handy to have it on A4 paper to be honest, at least for me.

May I ask you some question about EEA4 application as I'm planning to send it next month?

Artur,

I preferred the stamp in my passport to be honest as the A4 doesn't have a long term. Imagine having the A4 for 10 years, can lost when apply for visa at other embassy or even damage

Sure you can ask questions . I'm happy to help
