English language requirement for Tier 2 Dependent visa?

Post by ukvisat2 » Fri Feb 06, 2015 6:21 pm

Hey All,

I am planning to make tier 2 dependent visa application from Islamabad - Pakistan for my wife.
I have prepared following documents;

Passport - wife
2 photos - wife
TB Clearance certificate - wife
marriage certificate

Payslips (main applicant)
Bank statement 90 days (main applicant)

Do dependent applicant needs any prove of English language? I read some where that A1 level English is needed.
Could you please confirm this with some reference from GOV.UK site?

Thank You!

What does mean by settlement? Is it nationality?

Here https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/s ... _final.pdf

at 281 rule, they mention something about English language.

Is it only for nationality?

Hello ,
281 rule is for the person who is already settled in the United Kingdom not for Tier2 General, For Tier 2 General ( read : 319AA. In paragraphs 319A to 319K and Appendix E, 'Relevant Points Based System Migrant'
means a migrant granted to leave as a Tier 1 Migrant, a Tier 2 Migrant, a Tier 4 (General)
Student or a Tier 5 (Temporary Worker) Migrant.)

And i''ll advice you to also submit Evidences to Prove that the Relationship is subsisting And invitation letter from your side and also one letter from employer to confirm that job is permanent.
• Phone Bills. ( Wife and your)
• Emails. ( Optional)
• Skype Chat and Call Logs. ( Optional)
• Pictures of skype chat and other.
• Balance Transfer Receipt : Azimo, WU, UBL from Last three months ( Optional)

Hello tazhassan

For list of documents you can visit the following link ,
http://www.immigrationboards.com/uk-tie ... 79610.html

and for Health surcharge ,
If you're applying for a visa to work, study or join your family in the UK for more than 6 months, you may need to pay a healthcare surcharge (called the 'immigration health surcharge') prior to their visa applicaiton, you can get more info and calculate the fees on the folowing link;
https://www.gov.uk/healthcare-immigrati ... n/overview

incase need any other information just let me know ?
