Extension Tier 2 General

Post by smash » Tue May 12, 2015 11:42 am

Hi all,

I have an extension pending in few months. My queries are as follows:

My original SOC code was 2422, visa applied after 6th April'12(Management Accountant). Will the code remain same for the extension?
What paperwork will I need to apply for my extension?
My employer had carried out a RLMT at the time of application and got a restricted COS. I am with the same employer, at the same job so will my employer be able to obtain an unrestricted COS?

What sort time is required to receive an in country unrestricted COS?

How can I apply under the premium service and can I apply before 3 months before my actual visa runs out under the premium service?

I look forward to hear from you.

Thanks

you should only apply within the same SOC code, if you apply under any othe code, RLMT needs to be done.
Unrestricted cos is requested and is generally issued within 2 weeks. Then the employer needs to assign it to you which takes around 30 min.
You can apply whenever u want. nothing stopping u aplying 3 months before or even before than that. The emloyer has to put a start date which needs to be within the next 3 months when he is assigning a cos.

make sure u check the min salary for the SOC code u are applying under, because 1. they have recently gone up, 2. you might have been considered as a new entrant last time but are experienced worker this time.

Thanks for the reply.

Couple of questions as follows:

Did the original codes from 2012 not get replaced in April'14?

Where can I have a look for the salary threshold for experienced workers?

Look forward to hear from you.

Thanks

Hi all,

My previous SOC 2422 has been changed to 2421. Will my employer need to perform RLMT if they changed the code from 2422 to 2421.

I am with the same employer and same job title.

Thanks
