aarti1280,
applications that reached HO on 26th got approvals on 4th and 5th Oct. U can call them and ask for the status. my appln also reached them on 26th, and got approval on 5th, i called them up to get the status.

Just an info, my appln was a straight forward one, i didnt claim any exceptions.

Bad news guys. My application has been declined :( .

I emailed last week to ask if my application is already has assigned to a caseworker. This afternoon, I received a reply to my email that a decision has already been made and that my documents were dispatched via airmail. I was surprised because I mentioned in my cover letter that I will be arranging a courier to pick up my documents.

I called them immediately to ask if I can still have it picked up, they said that it was already sent out this morning. When I asked if it was approved, they said, it wasn't.

It's really strange because the additional evidence I sent was just received by HO this morning. How can they have made a decision that fast? :(

I hope you guys will have better luck than me.

Just applied too

Post by fortresskay » Mon Oct 08, 2007 5:07 pm

Hi everyone,

Just wants to share my timeline too. I initially applied on the 14th of September and got my feedback by 23rd sept and it was refused. So after correcting the mistake that my payslips do not corroborate p60 (employer made mistake on this!)..

Sept 28 - Sent another application
Oct 1 - Application Received at Home office
Oct 3 - Payment debited
Oct 5 - Called Home Office for Reference no was told decision has been made and I got the approval! (is this possible, too fast..anyways I've been praying I'll get it fast)
They said due to the postal strike I may not receive it till end of this week.
Oct 8 (10 am): Called just to confirm again wt HO, a lady picked the call ad said yes decision has been made but she's not allowed to tell me until its posted...(started getting worried!)
Oct 8 (1.00pm) Called HO again, a man picked the phone and says its been posted and that i have been granted the approval. i should wait for Royal mail.

So what should i believe, anyone has experienced this situation before. Just worried as my Working Holiday visa expires in December! so i need the HSMP asap.

What I assume that CW should be having photo copies of all your documents. I guess for review you can't send your orignal as well as any additional documents. But you need to fill the review form

Seeing other's timelines, i think application that reached around Oct 1 are being decided. Hopefully will have a decision today or tomorrow.

Called HO an hour back. The rep advised me to call after 2 weeks. She said we will contact you on your email once a decision has been made.

the waiting is agony.....2 weeks does sound like a long time for the case to be decided

i bet either you will receive your docs back before then with the letter or

there is change in the processing times and they are currently taking a week more than usual :?:
