CoS for 3yrs visa application? CoS name spelling mistake?

I've been granted CoS for 3 years. Would i be able to apply for 5 yrs visa or only 3yrs?

Also in the CoS there is a spelling mistake on my given name. Will this be a problem and does it have to get amended?

You'll get a 3 year visa.

The sponsor should make a "sponsor note" to explain and correct the spelling error.
