Hi Chowkal.

I am also bit curious about NCS TIMELINE. I have applied (sent by post) on April 15, 2015. Fees deducted on May 11, 2015 and got the acknowledge letter today( May 13, 2105). The letter contains for Bio-metric enroll (how-ever i done my bio-metric for my Tier1)
and saying that may be application takes 6 months or longer.

Do you guys reckon, is this normal or may be take up to 6 months to process my application?

I believe, my application quite straight-forward so may be returned by in one month time. But it seems taking long time just to process my payment (They taken nearly 4 weeks to debit my fees)
My route to NCS-
5 years (Tier 1 + 1 year ILR) + Life test and language approval.

Any thoughts welcome

Many thanks in advance

Ram

It is a standard response from HO. I would suggest you enroll your biometrics as soon as you can, it is a new requirement for citizenship so do not ignore it even though you have provided it in previous immigration applications.

Current timelines are a couple of months, but bear in mind that there was a rush of applications, and subsequent backlog, before 6th April 2015.

Hi CROO1,

Many thanks. I feel bit quite relieved now after read your post. :-)

I am taking my biometric tomorrow. So hopefully, my application will get approved (atleast 2 months time) by the end of July as
i already planned to travel for my wedding on September 2015.

Hi.
I have received my biometric letter, even though my biometric was done when i applied for ILR and I submitted details and copy of my BRP.
did you have to pay for getting it done again? and did u have to book an appointment for enrollment at the post office?

Yes, you have to pay the small fee at the Post office.

No, you do not need an appointment to enroll biometrics.

The HO letter doesn't mention any fees. What i don't understand is why do i need to do the biometric when it when it was already done for the ILR application.

Hi,

I received the letter from HO Says that fee of £19.20 towards handling the biometric process in the post office.(I assume you received 2 separate letters).

I do understand your concern (as I done my fingerprints twice in my Tier 1 and ILR) but just for another cross ID verification they doing it for again. Hope it makes sense .

cheers
