MBE good courier?

Post by hsmphsmp » Mon Oct 01, 2007 12:24 pm

I contacted MBE though their webpage for courier pickup. Below is the mail I got from them. The from email address looks strange (bigley01@btconnect.com) should it have been xxxxxx@mbesheffield.co.uk
. Also says do not contact by telephone. Have any one who used MBE received any such emails.

Thank you for your message.

We can collect your documents from HSMP/Home Office and despatch them to you
by express courier (using UPS, FedEx or Parcelforce). We charge £20 to
collect your documents, plus whatever the charge is for delivery (the cost
depends upon method, weight and size). This is a fast and secure method of
despatch and you will be able to track your documents online. UPS and FedEx
are equally fast for most countries. Please note we do not use DHL.

Before we can collect your documents we need to know:-

1) The actual NAME OF THE BUILDING at which your documents are held (NOT
the address)
2) That the documents are DEFINITELY ready for collection.
3) The case NUMBER
4) The NAME OF THE CASE OFFICER, and the phone extension number that the
Home Office reception desk can contact them on.
5) YOUR FULL NAME, ADDRESS AND PHONE NUMBER.

Please email us with this information. We will print off the email and use
it as authorisation to collect your documents. Please could you also contact
the team handling your application to let them know that MBE will be
collecting your documents (Please note we are not permitted to contact the
Home Office)

You will need to arrange a day and time for us to collect the documents.
(Please email us first before you arrange the time and day for the
collection, to make sure we can do it). Please note that we do not require
anyone from the Home office to sign our paperwork. Also, we do not view the
contents of the document pack and therefore will not be able to tell you
whether your application has been succesful.

After we have collected your documents and before we despatch them we will
email you to ask you to reply with your credit card details. (Please send
half the details in one email and the other half of the details in a second
email - this is safer). We need to know the long number, the expiry date,
the start date and the 3 digit security code on the reverse. PLEASE NOTE
THAT WE CAN ONLY TAKE PAYMENT BY CARD. We regret we cannot deviate from
these procedures.

WE CAN SERVE YOU BETTER IF YOU CONDUCT ALL COMMUNICATIONS WITH US BY EMAIL.
PLEASE DO NOT TELEPHONE.

Regards,

Mail Boxes Etc,
Devonshire House,
49 Eldon St,
Sheffield S1 4NR, U.K.

Hello antouk,

Nothing to be suspicious about the mail id. Event I got the reply from the same mail id. I used MBE for courier pickup. His name is Frank Bigley. Service is fast and reliable. He picked up the document from HO and I have them in my hand the next morning through UPS courier. Good luck

Regards,
Narayan
