Yeh you will be treated under old rules. They must have deducted the old fee( plz confirm) every time you call them you will get a different answer. You can try if you want. I applied on 1st April and my application through NCS was received on 2nd April. They have deducted the old fee and no biometric letter has been issued to me as well. So relax and enjoy the unavoidable.Maliksahb wrote:gryphon wrote:Hi Everyone,
I've applied on the 01st April 2015 using the March 2015 form. Am I supposed to enrol biometric as well. I know the form definitely had a section on that. I haven't received any letter to enrol yet. I've seen other people on the forum who applied 2nd or 3rd week of April has had the letter to enrol biometric. As one can expect the response that can be obtained from HO. "It's still within six months window, it can come anytime between now and six months". The guy did say I will need to enrol my biometrics, but was unhelpful enough not to check or mention whether one has been sent out yet. Really confused. I don't know if the people in charge of UKVI know how the employees handle or are they just helpless like the rest of us. I would appreciate any feedback from senior members. Would it help to email them (using the address on the guidance)?
Any application received HO till 6 April 2015 will be treated under old rules. you are safe.

I have called many times and HO called me back saying that my app is engoing.
Now I have a job offer but the new employer is asking for a right to work proof as my residency is expiring in the next 3weeks.
Is there a way that HO prioritises my application?

The new employer wants to see either outcome of my naturalisation application or permanent residency renewed.
My current residency card is expiring in few weeks.
has anyone had success with HO in making his application prioritised?

Basically I applied under Surender case for which the PR or ILR are not mandatory, so I onluy have 5 year EEA family residency expiring soon. The emplyer want to see something writen from HO as a proof of right to work after the residency expires.
Have called many times and been told my appl is engoing..
not really sure what to do now. any idea?
Hi, Nvijay.nvijay wrote:Hi, I applied 14 jan (Myself and My son). Today I got a certificate of registration for my son, Dated 18th may on the letter (15 th may on the actual certificate) I wonder what happened to my application, any suggestions please? Shall i call HO or shall I call the council?
expresso12: Did he submit to NCS on the 2nd April? If so, his application would have reached HO after the bank holiday and that would explain new rules+fees being applied on his case. If he submitted earlier than 2nd April, then his application would have got to them on the 2nd and thus would have had to pay £906. I've read here and on the guidance notes that for naturalisation the date of application is the date when the authorities receive the application.expresso12 wrote:ChOudhry1 wrote:Yeh you will be treated under old rules.
