less than 30 months on brp

Post by corasson » Tue May 19, 2015 12:01 pm

Dear forum family,
I was issued with a brp last November with 18 months validity Instead of 30! My lawyer send it back soon after with a letter from UK vi stating that my application was successful and that I was granted 30 months. But less that a week later we got a response stating that they have checked their records and that the dates on the brp were right.
I just want to know if anyone has been issued a brp with 18 months validity?
It's been 6 months now since November so that means I will have to renew in one year time?
I don't want to loose my one year , will I need to pay to complete those one year or what. I honestly don't know why I was issued with 18 months validity.
Anyone any advice plz

Which visa are you on?
What is the end date of the visa?
What form did you apply on?
When did you apply and when did you get the BRP?

Hiya everyone.

I have joined the forum not long ago although I have been a silent follower.
my lawyer call me yesterday to let me know that I have been granted.
He said to me that the brp is valid until May 2016. I was very surprised because it's not even up to two years. I asked him if they have made a mistake he said he couldn't say yes or no. But I know everyone here has been granted 30mnts not 18.
I will only gonna be able to see my brp and approval letter next week.
Anyone has ever got leave to remain less than 30mnts under flr fp if so did you request the ukba to change the dates.

Thanks
Char (CR001 not Casa)

I have applied on September last year using flr fp form under family life route. Parent of a British child. My brp was issued on November and the expiry date in on May 2016

Will I need to pay again to complete the one year missing? Does anyone know?
