Post by Sazrt » Tue May 19, 2015 8:58 pm

Hi

I recently received my British Citizenship and my wife has been in the country for over 3 years since we are married.

can i apply for her on 3 years route? as i only became citizen few days ago.
Also i got one reference from my friend GP and he signed the reference date 3 days before i received my citizenship ceremony.

Thanks for your help in advance.

Does your wife have ILR?

Assuming you've attended your Citizenship ceremony, then as long as your wife meets all the standard requirements she can apply now.

Thanks Casa - yes she meets all other requirement such as english language eqv to B1 naric, LIUK, less than 240 days in last 3 years, less than 90 days in last one year, she was physically present in the country 3 years before the application date, no offenses . please advise if anything else is require?

Also my previous question about referee signature date in the application is 3 days before the ceremony date is this acceptable? (i,e ceremony held on 18 May and referee signed the form on 12th May).
