Staying more than 6 weeks/year outside Ireland

Post by melkadi » Thu May 21, 2015 8:13 am

Hello,

I am applying for the citizenship soon and I wanted to know if staying outside the country for more than 6 weeks/year can delay the application. In my case, in 4 out of the 5 years Prior to application I stayed more than 6 weeks/year for long holidays + business trips, in one of the years it was around 12 weeks, other years was 7-9 weeks. Anyone had similar conditions and applied recently? Should I calculate the period over 6 weeks/year and apply after 5 years + this extra period?
