Hi All!

I really appreciate this forum and members. I recieved my Mrs BRP and all the Documents back 22-05-15 and 23-05-15 respectively.

Here is the timeline

Applied FRE(FP) 02-04-15
Biometric received 22-04-15
BRP Received 22-05-15
Doc received 23-05-15

I have got 2 British kids and i am a settled person. She got visa for 30 months on partner route. No recourse to public funds etc
I have a little confusion about partner & parent route. What's the difference?
Now can she go back to her country and apply from there FLR(M) as i earn more than £19000. Is it possible and good idea?
Thanks all

Please contact the home office to make sure you won't need to pay I was under the impression only those who are applying for indefinite don't need to pay.

*update*

4 weeks since sending application, and still no letter for biometrics. Thought this would be a straight forward application. Is anyone else in the same boat as us?

Hi all

Just a update

We received the letter inviting my partner to submit his biometrics, in the same letter it also states that because he was granted under the human rights article 8 in 2012, his application is a complex one and is exempt from the regular time frames!!!!!
We also received a letter today from a company called Capita (working on behalf of the HO) asking for us to confirm my partners status!
Surely if they work on behalf of the HO they should know his status? it says "we have been informed by the HO that his stay may have expired"

Hi all,

Been following since February 2015 and finally plucking up the courage to ask advice. I'm an Australian who is married to a British and we have had 3 children all born in the UK aged 10,7 and 16mths.

I stupidly forgot my passport had expired and that my last visa had also expired a year before, therefore classing me as an overstayed. Anyway I was pregnant with my 2 child when I lost my job and couldn't afford the fees. We finally managed to save enough over a few years to pay for a specialist to help and advise us and finally get this mess sorted out.

I've applied for FLR(FP) under article 8 as it was known, just wondering if anyone else has applied under this and how long it usually takes to get a decision as I know it's consider outside of normal waiting times as per letter from HO.

many thanks :)

Timeline so far:
Application sent through solicitor 02/04/15
Application Letter received 11/04/15 (I got acknowledgment letter 20/04/15)
Biometric letter 15/04/15 (I received 20/04/15)
Biometric taken at PO 28/04/15
Flr decision: waiting
Documents/passport: waiting
Biometric card : waiting

Hi everyone.

I have been following this blog for a while but now I just feel I have to wite something as I'm so depressed and extremely stressed with my situation. I just don't know what to do anymore and really feel like I'm slowly breaking down. I have been in the UK since 2002 when my dad was sent to work here. I was 13 when we moved here and had diplomat dependent Visa on my dad. When he decided to move back, in 2011, I was estranged from him and my family and they all moved bk. I decided to stay and applied for a visa and my solicitor advised that I should apply on a discretionary leave to remain. I did and by God's grace I was successful. It was now time for renewal in April and Im' so confused as to whether I did the right thing.

1. First lawyer I hired for the extension this year applied for my extension using the FLR FP form and according to this blog that was incorrect
2. I found another lawyer who did an application for an extension on the form FLR O
3. I sent application way ahead of time 01.04.2015 and my VISA was due to expire 24.04.2015

I'm just really depressed and worried that I did the application under the wrong form and I just don't have the money to fight this. I don't have the energy either. Can anyone help me.

Don't worry about it flro is the old form. Flr(FP) is d new form...stop stressing. Also your visa has not expired so you are fine. It there was a problem they would have sent your form back to you

My solicitor told me yesterday that our appeal was allowed.

I am so thankful to GOD!!!

Now just hoping that the home office don't appeal the decision.

How long do they have to appeal the decision?

Hi Guys

I'm a new member of this and need some help and advise from you guys as I have been reading this thread from quite sometime and wish if you guys can help me regarding my query.

I have been in the UK from feb 2007, came as a student and changed to Tier 1 General and when I applied for the 3 year extension my visa has been refused on the basis of interview and they said applicant is not credible.

I have appealed to First tier tribunal they refused and appealed to Upper Tribunal but they sent a letter saying they won't change the decision.

I have applied for FLP FP on the basis for family and private life and I had a girlfriend and we got married religiously not the registered marriage.

As I have applied after 28 days run out because of some issues at the time.
I currently don't have right to work and I don't know what to do till then as everyone here is saying it takes months and years to get reply from home office. I don't know what to do in this case. My wife wrote a letter to local mp but no luck and also to HomeOffice and they said they can't give me temporary right to work until application is decided.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Date application sent: 25/04/2015
Date Acknowledgement received: 29/04/2015
Date biometrics letter received : 19/05/2015
Date Biometrics done: 21/05/2015
Rest don't know what will happen next?

People are talking about ECHR Letter here in this thread but I haven't received anything like that and I also don't know what to do next.

Can anyone or senior members of this thread could help me that'll be much appreciated.

Many Thanks

Hi welcome to the forum. You sound very anxious. Please don't be just relax. You have to be patient and wait you only applied in April. If you have done your biometrics then all you have to wait for is the outcome. The home office are faster these days so should not be too long.
Godgives
