I have also applied from Hyderabad on 12th September and till date status shows as Application Forwarded to BHC on 14/09/2007.

Please update if anyone has received their EC who had applied to Chennai BHC in the month of September.

Your timeline is nearing to the time frame they say at BHC 16-18 working days. Hopefully you shd get some news this week.

Yes. Tomorrow it will be complete 18 working days effective from 14-Sep and excluding 02 Oct holiday. Waiting eagerly for SMS response to change.

Hi,

I got my HSMP approved yesterday and I have yet to get my docs back.
I am planning to submit the same bunch of docs I have submitted to HSMP team besides additing photographs an passport.
do you think I need to submit any additional doc.
I have a friend in UK who is ready to sponsor my stay until i get job. do you think that the letter from my friend should follow specific format or should be in the form of affidavit?

I got my EC Stamped on 10/10/07 from VFS Chennai.........

Hi,

Is it necessary to have last six-month salary documents for EC? I haven't earned a single penny during this time as I was vacationing.

Any suggestion how to handle this situation.

Timeline of EC

Applied on 25th Chennai VFS
status on SMS forwarded to BHC 26th
HR call from Integra 28th
Today again Integra called to authenticate mail 1st 2nd Oct
They told HR that they will forward to BHC..
HR got a call on 9th from BHC
Confirmed and status changed on 10th Oct
As i have opted to collect the passport in person. They have forwarded to VFS.

@Ikon -- When did you apply and from which location.
I know Sarat and Vikas who have applied on 19th Sep to Chennai BHC and have not got their passports yet.

Is it possible somehow to inquire if Integra has completed their investigaioton and submitted their report to BHC?

I applied on 26th Sep from HYD VFS, SMS still reads as "aplication fwded to BHC on 28th".

I had some how got the Integra phone number from website & called them.But they said only the BHC can tell the status. I will also be happy if someone can tel how to find the Inetgra status.

Except waiting we dont have any other options, Its next to impossible to check your status of your application with BHC. Maxiumum you can do is send a SMS to 57333 or call up VFS and you already know that its of no use because except "forwarded to BHC" they dont have any other updates for Us.

I applied for EC yesterday. It took me an hour with all that talking and rearranging documents. They accepted only one photo of 50 x 50 mm. The VFS refused to include my CV. I paid the fees and left. They told me that I can track the status online through their website www.vfs-uk.co.in or sms after a week. It normally takes 15-18 days but the lady told me that it will take 8-10 days. Anyways crossing my fingers!!!

If this is a lucky phrase then i will also say, coz i dint get my EC its already 13th day..

thats the only thing you can do AFTER you submit, keep your fingers crossed and hope for the best to happen. As all you could do and you did before submitting your application.

13 days! your integra verification must be over by now. Did you check with your employers and university? All the best to you too. Just a week more for you to wait I guess.

I am just trying to say to myself to wait n wait n wait and enjoy

as i applied just yesterday. VFS website says that applicants from Bangalore can check their status the second day after 5 pm post submission

Guys,

I read on some other forum that UK Chennai Consulate was closed from 28th September till 03rd October from some upgradation. Is anyone else aware of this? If its true then 28, 1 and 3 will not be counted as working days.

@Vikas / Sarat -- have you guys received any response yet. I believe you have applied on 19th September (a week after I had applied).

Has anyone tried calling up BDHC and asking them? If yes, please share the number so that I can call them and check the status directly.

Also, is there any Dussherra holiday in Chennai consulate?
