This is the best way to think while going through this agonising waiting guys...
I feel like I'm not going to be even exited anymore even when arrives... :(

Hi,

I applied on 31. July 2014 and I think that my case is straightforward. I have not received a decision yet. For me personally, I can wait as I have time, however it is sad that it takes soooooooooooooooooooooooo long.

Did you have PR in your passport? if not, so they have right to ask you for a proof of 5 years residency. Shame they took that long. NCS also should advice you.

Well, after 10 months of following the forums and posts I decided I will make an account and share my so far "bad" experience I have had and still not received a decision.

Eligibility criteria: Family member of an EEA national, ( my late father who passed away 2 years ago.) Resident 10 years on eea fp.
Language criteria met (UK degree, exempt countries, PBS used documents, NARIC, or B1 test): life in uk, esol level 2
Current nationality: Pakistani
Method of application: NCS
Council name if NCS used: Manchester
Date of application: 3rd July 2014
Payment method CC/DC, Personal cheque, Bankers cheque etc: bank transfer
Date of receipt by UKBA: around 5ty July
Date of acknowledgment: around 7th july
Date of debit or clearance of fees: month later
Date approval received: tba
Date of ceremony: tba

Already involved mp twice, called up several times. Got few letters saying same old extra scrutiny checks. My history is all clear and not even points on license. My mother applied few months earlier than I did and she received hers in 2 months. Her and me were both eligible since 2010 but my later father never got round on applying even indefinite for us, so we decided to apply for ourselves after him passing away and my mother got her nationality. Ive been living here 10 years and even ncs told me to apply with the data from 2005 till 2010 of my late fathers work and pension history which we did. All I want to know if any members know, what EXACTLY are the additional checks and scrutiny that they do which is taking about a year and still not completed. I know there are members who have been waiting 14 months or one even 17 months to them I can only say "hang in there"!, eventhough I am slowly loosing hope myself :(

Hey Faz,

Sorry to hear, you're not alone in this case ,but you already knew that.

My case is complicated, but still for making a decision shouldn't take this long, all the data is out there on servers.

Here's how I'm dealing with it, convinced myself that it'd be rejected and no point worrying about it. We can still enjoy the summer with or without being British :D

Chill out ,
Siraj
