claiming Child/working Tax credit with No(R.T.P.Fund)

Post by Dali83 » Wed May 27, 2015 5:25 pm

Hi all,

I am British citizen and currently claiming child benefit for my daughter who is not British yet. I recently found out that I can also claim child/working tax credit.

could a senior member advise me please as both my wife and daughter have no recourse to public fund and I do not want this to affect their visa when it is time to renew it next year.

could you please let me which one I can claim i.e Child or Work tax credit and under whose name.

Thank you very much for your help and advise.

Kind regards

Dali

Have a look on this benefit calculator.

http://benefits-calculator.turn2us.org.uk/AboutYou

Tax credits must be claimed in joint names with your spouse and will not affect your spouse future visa applications. Tax credit will depend on your circumstances so do the calculator.

Child benefit in your name only.

Thank you very much CR001,

I tried to use the website and when I inserted that my spouse is on No recourse to public fund, it did not permit me to go any further.

Also as I don't and never claimed any benefit before, Do Working and child tax have to be claimed together. Or I am entitled to only one. Please clarify.

Kind regards
