Post by sq » Sun May 31, 2015 3:00 pm

Hi guys, I need a help from senior members please.

My wife initially granted visa FLR M for 2 years, bcoz she was tier 1 general dependent. She was in this country for more than 5 years now, but in 2014 they change rule that i can't apply ILR. Now her visa is expiring in August 2015. Now my question is:
1. She is eligible for ILR now bcoz she spend 5 years on my dependent. or

2. Else if she need to apply FLR M than they will issue visa for 30 months or 36 months. Initial she got only 2 years visa. I need a suggestion please.

Tnx
SQ

Hi,

I would be very grateful if someone could give me an advice.

I've sent an application FLR(M) with the following timeline:

09/04/2015- Application sent
14/04/2015- Application received- passed to casework unit
15/04/2015- payment taken from card direct debit - 601 pounds was taken. I didn't realize I was using an old form- new fee is 649
25/04/2015- Another letter received saying application will be decided in 8 weeks
28/04/2015- Received 2 letters- 1 for biometric invitation letter and another one saying I have to pay 48 pounds more for new fees.
01/05/2015- Biometric enrolled at the post office; and new payment (48 pounds) was sent by first class service
now- 31/05/2015- not heard anything since. No payment taken from my account. It'll be eight weeks next week.

I am just wondering what I should do. Is there anyone I can contact to ask? Because no contact number was given in the letters.

Many thanks for any help

Hi Hippopotamus,

I would call 0300 123 2241. I was in the same situation and they deducted the additional 48GBP within a few days of me sending the back the form. Did you send it registered mail to the specific address they indicated you should send it to (I had a sticker enclosed in my letter)? They may be able to get to the bottom of the situation.

Hope this helps - good luck! I'll keep you posted when I get stuff back as I sent it 4 days after you and made the same error.

Hi pondjumper,

I have called that number today and the lady said they have received the further 48 pounds payment and just waiting for someone to deduct it from my account.
Till now it hasn't been deducted yet. I wonder why it's so difficult to just take the money.

She said she couldn't do anything and said I have to wait a bit longer.
Have you got your application yet?
I think they've just placed my paper aside and nobody's dealing with it at the moment. Is there anything I could do to make someone start working on it again?
I am now without passports and driving license with me

10/04/15 - Application posted (agent sent on my behalf, visa expired on 11/04/15)
14/04/15 - Payment taken from my card
Acknowledgement letter NEVER RECEIVED
01/05/15 - Biometric invitation letter arrived to my agent (dated 30/04/15).
14/05/15 - I phoned Home Office as was concerned about lack of acknowledgement letter. They said that it's ok not to get one & informed me a letter had been sent 'elsewhere' (my agent). I phone my agent & my biometrics letter was with them (you have 15 working days to submit your Biometrics from the date of the letter, so I was within date still)
15/05/15 - Biometric fingerprints given at the post office
29/05/15 - Approval letter and document pack with agent, ready to pick up.

So I was 7 weeks; with a 2 week delay giving my Biometrics.
Don't be scared to call the Home Office for an update, they were lovely on the phone and very helpful.
Found this forum so useful when I was waiting, please all add your experience too! :D

Good luck Pond Jumper & LaPra 8)

Date FLR(M) sent to HO: 19/02/2015
Docs received by the HO: 20/02/2015
Ack'ment Letter Arrived: 03/03/2015
Biometrics Letter Arrived: 06/03/2015
Biometric Enrolled at PO: 06/03/2015 Letter Received from HO for Interview: 07/04/2015
Interview done in a friendly atmosphere, staff was very friendly. They took about 3.5 hours all together, 30 minutes from me and about 3 hours from my wife. Asked too many personal questions. Once finished we came out and matched our answers. All perfect except one question in which they asked my wife that have u got any friend and she replied only 1 but i said as far as i m aware no friend because i never seen her going out for shopping with any friend or talking to anyone on mobile. Lady said u will get result between 2-4 weeks but we r still waiting. Any suggestions or anyone who went through interview process with British spouse. I m so upset now although 100% genuine case. I think they r taking time becoz my wife is on DLA.

Unfortunately, no news here. As my husband would say - no point in worrying as it's not going to change the outcome. It will be decided at some point - just a question of when.

That being said, let's just all stay in touch everyone. It seems like quite a few applications were submitted around the same time, so it may just be taking a wee bit longer.

you don't need to send original passport and BRP
maylia88 wrote:Hi

Can anyone kindly answer this quick question please? Do I need to send the copy of sponsor's passport and biometric card or I need to send the original ones?

As I read it does say full copy of passport but doesn't mention about biometric card. The reason I ask is I'm in the middle of interviewing for a new job and I think they will want to see the passport+ilr card if I'm successful.

Thanks

Hello to every body-

I want to apply FLR [M] application for my dependents. My previous legal status was Tier1 Entrepreneur. I started business by opening up a company and register myself as Self employed. I was drawing income from Business Account to Personal Account every month. Last year i paid personal tax and corporation tax for whole respective year.

Q1 . Can I show my last 12 monthly personal bank statements [ from 1st of June 2014 to 30th of May 2015] as a proof of drawing from business account to meet the required limit for FLR[M]?.

Q2 . In the month of May 2015, I got job . Can I add one month employment income with personal drawing from business account?.

I would be thankful for members to guide me in this regard.
