Interview for Tier 2 ICT

Hello All,

I have attended an interview today for Tier 2 ICT Visa application which was filed on 22nd May 2015. Although it went well but before this I had not heard of any kind of interviews being scheduled for ICT. Is it some new process that they have put in place ? Also, what is the possibility of getting this Tier 2 ICT now ? It was a detailed half hour interview conducted on a skype session with the officer from British Embassy from Chennai. What are the chances of VISA getting approved or rejected ?

May I know what are the questions they asked? And from where you applied?

I applied from Bangalore VFS. The interview was a skype call with a person from Chennai. They asked about job profile, company profile and why I need to be there in UK. They also checked about previous visits to other countries and about previous and current clients. It went on for half hour.

Hi, after introducing checking of the Tier 2 genuine vacancy, they are interviewing people who applied Tier 2 general and ICT categories. They just verify whether the vacancy is really exist and your are qualified to take up the role. As per your comments, I think it went well so don't worry, you will be granted visa soon. Please keep us updated your further status so it will helpful to other who apply ICT.

Hi Sattesh,

I have not received any reply as of now. I called up the UKVI helpdesk which charges 1.37 Pounds per minute for assistance. Based on my GWF number they informed me that mine is a complex application which needs a lot of things to be clarified from their side. So they will take more time and will inform via email. They have not given any estimate and they told that the general estimates of 15-20 working days applies for general applications and not for complex applications. I did not ask him much about what is the complexity in my application as for answering this 3-4 questions he had already taken 4 minutes.

Is there anybody in the forum who has given the interview and have got the VISA ? Probably he/she can help us understand the complete process and the time that it takes for making a decision.

not yet, now I am really not sure whether I will be getting a VISA or not. It has been one month since I submitted my docs and biometrics. And from the interview it has been around 3 weeks now. If anyone on this forum has any kind of information that can help us then please post here. It will be a great help.

Don't worry dude...I got a call from company Hr today,...............she told that embassy did some verification on company in uk.........she said it will not take more than ten days..........be postive

Hello Fellow Members, if anyone has a similar case which has resulted in getting the visa then please tell the time taken. It has been 50+ days since I applied for the Visa but till now there are no definitive updates from home office. When inquired they just say that it will take some more time without giving any deadline.
