Wifes dependent visa extension

Dear friends,

My wife is on a dependent visa until 2017. I had a tier 2 until 2017 with my [revious employer and have changed my employer recently and i got a new extension until june 2017. However, my wife didn't apply with me . Is it mandatory for her to apply again as well or can she keep her previous dependent visa ?

Also, if the answer is yes she has to apply then whats the latest she can apply for dependent visa.
