Where this Appendix requires the applicant to provide specified evidence relating to a period which ends with the date of application, that evidence, or the most recently dated part of it, must be dated no earlier than 28 days before the date of application

Source ukvi gov.uk appendix FM SE source for above ^
All financial evidence must be dated no earlier than 28 days from date of application... The date you pay and submit online form

Wage slips as you said previously need to be for 6 months and bank statements need to correspond to the wage slips so that would mean 6 bank statements ... the last being dated within 28 days prior to date of application

There isn't much detail the refusal letter states, "In view of the fact that you have not provided specified evidence for the specified periods as stated in the appendix fm-se of immigration rules, I am not satisfied that u have met the financia reqmt.
I therefore refuse ur application on under paragraph EC-P 1.1(d) of AppendixFM of the immigration rules (E-ECP 3.1)."

I included six months bank stmts and declared the source of savings so I'm at a loss to explain why it was rejected. TherE isn't a specific reason given as to why it was rejected.

Does anyone know how much an appeal costs and how long it will take?

Dear Asif,

I think they might have rejected because they are questioning the source of your savings. I have also applied under same category as you and stated my source of savings as from my salary over last 8 years. However, they called me and basically asked how I could have saved soo much??!! Then they sent me email to provide evidence of my savings. I have sent them whatever I could but I find the question very annoying especially my wealth is fully declared with government. I am still waiting for them to respond back!

Regards,

Ali

According to the expat forum - the employment letter should also be within 28 days.

HOWEVER, mine was like 2 months old and my wife still got visa, but try to get to 28 days also.

They check all employment with Central tax office based
In Glasgow it tells them who employes you date of employment
Etc it does not matter how old the letter is
But statements and wages slips need to be within 28 days
Getting visa based on savings is not easy the source of savings needs to be provided and that source needs to be verified by ukba

Hey guys

i have been a silent reader for quite some time now, and i had some questions if anyone knows.

Does anyone know if all the visa applications are necessarily looked at in the order they are submitted? and also roughly how many applications do the UKBA receive each month in Pakistan? Is there any difference in submitting in Lahore rather than Islamabad?

Just to add we submitted on the 18th of May.

Thanks guys :)

Yes all applications are dealt with in date order ... so that's date of Biometrics

Though all applications are dealt with in Islamabad it does seem that they are batched into the area they were submitted and yes there is a slight difference in processing but it's not a major delay ... overall if anything it looks as though it's a few days

It's hard to put amounts of applications submitted as there are varying factors taken into consideration each month but as an average it's approx between 250 to 350 applications in a month

Source of the above info is government freedom of information website whatdotheyknow.com

For those that have been to collect their passports and have had their partners with them, so they let you both go in to collect it? Or is only the applicant allowed to go in?

I had to laugh I said all along it will get refused and it did they accepted everything money housing only refused wait for it my dad has no nationality in this country he was born in Pakistan and my mum is white British been married nearly 20yrs good thing is I am appealing as my dad has his naturalisation certificate its 10yrs old and he has a British passport my mum said its funny that that was all they could think of. but she said its good as we have proof against this refusal she also cant believe that she kept his certificate hope it makes people laugh the reason they gave at least its is nothing major just one question how long does it take for it to be looked at is it 28 days and they my overturn it without having to go for appeal. thanks
