21 months later and my application is finally with the Minister. Could anyone advise me how long is took to hear back once their application was sent to the Minister?

@ everyone, I just called Inis now to enquire about my application status which the lady told me it's at the middle stage now she said it's further processing and that they will be looking at it again soon before it goes to the minister and get back to me. I asked her if any document was needed she checked and said no but when I called on Tuesday a lady told me they will be writing to me in 2 to 3 weeks time asking for more information so I don't know who or what to believe now.i have passed second stage now 4 months and half month now and no one have asked for additional document .Can additional documents be asked after such a long time or it will go to the minister.please anyone with any experience should please help me out by explaining. Thanks

I have to say that information you get based on my personal experience calling INIS depends on who I get on the phone.
Last time I rang which was couple of weeks ago, I was told it is been processed to be forwarded to the minister. This was after I they had requested twice for additional documents, I also got an email see below:

Your application is being prepared for submission to the Minister & will be
submitted to the Minister for decision as expeditiously as possible. It is
not possible to give an exact timeframe.

Regards

Tony Greene
Citizenship Division

I had gotten an email after sending the additional documents they wanted asking how I have been sustaining myself since I got redundancy last year. I found that very odd as I am currently on Job seekers allowance and it should be on the system once my pps number is punched into the system. I replied to that email with detailing my job seekers allowance and got acknowledgement that it had been received.I have not heard a word back ever since and this was in the first week of May.

No idea what is going on. Sent email few minutes back and I'm on the phone now trying to reach INIS.

God help us!

Hi ************

Your application is currently at an advanced stage of processing. While it
is not possible to give an exact timeframe, this office will be in touch
with you as soon as a decision has been reached.

@kofiasenji : Please don't bother about what INIS guys say to you over phone or sometime emails... and these guys never give exact information... last week when i have emailed them they said that "my application continues to be processed." and this week i got the approval..
I would say please wait for sometime and probably you might get approval if your application is straight forward..

I hope this will make some sense to you..

@everyone

Guys I know this is might sound crazy but I have in a day gotten 3 different responses from INIS

1. Rang this morning spoke to a guy and he said all he can see on the system is that my application is still been worked on and they will be in contact in due course.

2. Sent email and got a reply that it is in an advanced stage of processing and While it
is not possible to give an exact timeframe, this office will be in touch
with you as soon as a decision has been reached.

3. I decided to make another call after the email came through and spoke to a lady called Fiona and she said that my application has been submitted to the minister and once a decision has been made they would contact me.

It appears that information from INIS depends on who you are speaking with.
Hope this helps someone here

Fingers crossed and praying!!!!

The bottom line is that your application continues to be processed and most likely at an advanced stage of processing, therefore, relax and expect the best from the INIS in the coming weeks, maybe after the July ceremony your approval will follow. Best of luck!

@kingdoman.....Nah, I'm a pessimist and would always believe if it happens for someone then why not me or more why not everyone here. If csdrajkot said he was told that his application is still been processed only for him to get his approval the week after then it could happen to me and everyone else here. #BELIEVEX :D

An optimist you meant to say. Nothing is impossible! Best of luck in your wait/expectation, hopefully it happens for you sooner than expected!

Lucky your family, that was a fast process for the application... congrats! You may still include two recent photos just to be on the safe side.

You need not be upset. Depending on the basis of yur application and also the case worker assigned to your case too, all these factors affect the speed of your application approval. But just hold your peace and still be hopeful, it will happen for you too soon. :D

I personally think you should only hope of getting your approval after the ceremony in July. Hopefully in 2months time from now. Stay calm and keep positive and give the guys in INIS a break to have the time and concentration working on your file. My two cents. :)

Hi guys

I was impatient and decided to email them today and this is the answer I got

Your application has been approved by the Minister and correspondence has
issued to you from this office today.

According to them I should be receiving the approval letter next week! :D

Applied: 21 Dec 14 (Stamp 4 + 5 years residence)
1st Acknowledgement: 7 January 2015
2nd Stage: Last week of March
Approval: Sent today from the INIS office (June 12th)

Best of luck to everyone else!
