I don't know if there is another way to pay. It does not matter if you pay on your bank card here, you are the sponsor and are entitled to pay on behalf of the applicant.
its not an issue tht who will pay the fees but most imp thing is fees should be in pound GBP currency and should be online. paying fees cash is no longer available in pakistan.

Salaam Guys,

I just spoke to a solicitor and he said now appeals can only be made on the grounds of human rights but i think the ECO made a mistake, so can i still appeal?
and which hearing is quicker to get an outcome for, oral or paper based?

No you don't need to write anything. The applicant will be your husband and not you. They do not look at who has made the payment. Perhaps their intention is for the sponsor to make the payment anyway.

If your solicitor says that you can only appeal on the grounds of human rights so the mistake should have a human right factor to it. It is quicker to do a paper hearing but I have heard that chances of oral being successful are more than paper.

Sometimes it is easier to make a new application then to waste time with hearing unless you have a good chance.

@ sanahtalha
k so if i was to apply would i have to apply "on the behalf of someone else" and input my husbands details?
No you can choose the option applicant their self
It doesn't matter who completes it really unless it's an agent where they would then choose on behalf
Aslong as the details input are complete and correct and answered as tho it's the applicant inputting there is no problem

Appealing on the basis of human rights ground is a basis to appeal but it doesn't mean that there are no other basis to appeal ...
Appealing due to an error the eco has made is another
Certain evidence that the eco has not taken into account or which was available at the time but wasn't provided is another ground appeals can be put forward .

Aslong as you can put forward a strong argument then chances can be high to overturn decision in review stage which is quicker .. if it doesn't change then it would still be in queue for a hearing be it paper based or oral depending on what you decide to choose

You can still complete the application and save it. Then he can go online there and submit the application and pay the fee. The fee has to be paid in £ Sterling I believe and I don't know if you can pay it in cash as usually it is paid by debit or credit card before the book is issued.

is that right. well he lives in pakistan so wouldnt be paying in £sterling. is there no way of just transferring money from our join bank account we have in pakistan to the account of the visa people. and if i've paid the nhs surcharge here in £ would that become an issue?

they dont care as long as they get the money then they'll just toss your file in a pile somewhere let it gather some dust.

Since you have only submitted a fresh application in April 2015, it maybe worth waiting for the outcome. So hopefully you may get some good news next month. Appeal can take several months, so you will be looking at start of 2016 to be heard.

The waiting times in India are half or less than that of Pakistan. Don't know why Pakistan is getting special treatment.

It's all down to risks
Forgery
terror and forced marriages
Though it happens in India also but it's much more less

I could be wrong but my understanding is that if you submit an appeal it takes several weeks for documents to be dispatched to Abu Dhabi by the tribunal and then it takes a while before they are looked at. The manager there then has an option to change their decision. If they change their decision then all well and good but if they don't then a date is set for a hearing and on average you have 50/50 chance. So you obviously need to get legal advice on chances of success before going down this route.

Yes it is all down to the review first ... if the review means decision overturned then turnaround can be quick
If it has to go before a judge then it can take months

Personally people should only appeal if they have a strong case and it can be corrected easily otherwise yes it is better to submit a fresh case..after appeal has been lodged it normally takes around 4/5 weeks for you to get an appeal notice then it's normally within 28 days of that if overturned but if it goes to court it can take 6 months to a year

I don't think there is much chance of forgery there...I mean what would you forge anyway? Things have become computerised there so chances of fraud is much less now, and forced marriages and terror are becoming things of the past.
