Duration of Dependent Visa, Switching From Tier1 Ent.

Hi

I am looking to switch from Tier1 Ent. to Tier2 Spon.

Mine and My dependants visa is until Sep 2016.

If I switch to other category now; will my dependants need to apply for further leave with me at the same time OR can they wait to apply for further leave until Sep 2016 ?

Response with guidance policy (If any) would be appreciated.
