Hello Asalam all ..

Haven't been on this forum in ages .. Was away and completely forgot .. Hope everyone is well and praying a lot for each other .. Alhumdulilah

I had a question which I hope someone will be able to help me with ..

I am self employed.. I have a business account in which I have been depositing all my earnings into .. But my worry was I have not been transferring any on this money into my personal account .. A brother has adviced me about this but I was hoping to get a little more help in this .. Sorry it's not a timeline .. Just preparing for application.. Jzk

It is a good idea to regularly draw out money from your business into your personal account. It may not be necessary if you are a sole trader but better just to be on the safe side.

Hey thank you for replying

I have been preparing my accounts since last year hoping to apply soon .. All my self employment earning has been going to my business account and I haven't put any in my personal account. Also I have a part time job .. And my employer pays me cheque and I put that in my personal account .. Both accounts have wages going in.

But because I have not put any of my self employment earnings into my personal acc .. Would that be a reason for refusal ?

Your part time job will not be paying you above £18,600 therefore you are relying on your income from your business as well. If you are a sole trader then it could be argued that your business account legally belongs to you and so long as you have annual accounts show you are earnings more than enough and paying taxes on your self assessment income then you could be ok. However I don't know how they view these things so it is better to regularly pay your wages into your personal account. I think that you may also need 12 months bank statements if you are self employed. Perhaps others may know more about the subject, but personally I would start paying money into my personal account on a fixed date each month just to be on the safe side.

You should have a response by middle of September, however in some cases it can be a little quicker or later.

The applicant (and the spouse if he or she is travelling with the applicant).

but the applicants passport details are asked in the first section so why are the asking to repeat in the family section.
this is how it is

what is your marital status: married
will your partner be travelling with you: no
current passport no
nationality
family name
given name
date of birth
does your spouse currently live with you: no

im confused because it does state in the information given that its the spouses details they want but it must be becuase the applicants details are given previously. if its under spouse that must be who's details they want??? Please Help!
