I made my application on April 15 and the Status changed to Documents Printed on 29-May.

As of today, 10 days later, it is still stuck there. Not been dispatched.

Once it has changed to Documents Received in LONDON, and I submit my pasport, any idea how long it takes to get them back, in general?

Have a trip abroad planned on June 22 and then going to India one week after that so I need my passport back by June 22 or I will have to apply for a visa.

08-June-2015 Update
It is going to be 6 weeks since I made my (family) OCI application at VFS B'ham and i have not yet received my originals back, nor has the 'Under Process' status changed. I am a bit concerned now if there is an issue. I have travel to India booked for 18 July. Are there any suggestions on what I can do? Thanks in advance.

I have submitted my documents to VFS Houslow on 25/05/2015. That is to get a new OCI for my child who got a new passport. When the OCI documents reached at London, I should submit the originals to VFS Hounslow. Should I need an appointment for submitting the originals? I have sent an email to helpline asking this and they said I dont need an appointment. But the vfs website which has details of all offices and under the vfs hounslow office info says I need to take appointment before I go there. Any one had any experience?

Also can I go at any time or any particular time is there for submitting the documents?

(The info under vfs houslow doesn't says about any timings but the info under some other offices says after 4 o clock)

Has anyone been to Hounslow office then please could you share your experience?

I had recently from hounslow office. you don't need to book appointment for this. Go and ask for sumbitting passport for OCI collection and they will give you Enquiry token. Please take Royal mail for each applicant otherwise you will be charged for dx.

You are not alone. My application was processed on 20 May 2015, but not yet dispatched from MOIA (OCI ) NEW DELHI.
I don't know why such an in-ordinate delay, as I could see that for lot of people it just takes 2 to 3 days for the OCI to get it dispactched.

Is anyone else on the same boat?

It appears that there is an issue between the MOIA and the courier company which handles the OCI card delivery, which delays the OCI dispatch process.

Thanks for your reply. What time did you go there? Would they accept the collection docs in morning? When I submit my application they have asked me for Royal mail envelop and I said I do not have. So they have made a courier and gave me the envelop and asked me to bring it when I go to submit documents. That costs me alot. They could have tell me to bring the Royal mail envelop or buy the courier when I submit doc.

Note for future applicants. You can ask VFS to use the "Normal" delivery option vis DX Secure which costs around £7.95. They will always offer the "Urgent" delivery option via DX Secure which I think costs around £15.

Now, I need to take my daughter's passport and the receipt to VFS office.

I remember that the lady told me that I do not need to book an appointment for this. But I don't remember what she told me about the time when I should go there? Can I go there anytime or is there some specific time window for this?

For second stage of process, One of my friend recently did not submit BP in vfs, instead he posted on his own with prepaid envelop. Surprsily embassy in london have Put sticker in BPand send It back.

Most have submitted in vfs, no appointment needed in bristol office,

I submitted mine on a Wenssday and got the oci and passport back on Saturday.
