I've only just stumbled accross this forum (I wish I'd known about it sooner). I was looking for information if I needed a sponsor letter for my husbands application. Whilst reading through I read a lot of other posts about other requirements for his application. I only just learnt about the NHS thing, yet more money to spend out!
My main concern now is I have not brought any of my bank statements with me as I was under the impression my tax records and payslips would be enough. I decided ok I can just print my statements off my online banking but I read somewhere I would have to get an authorised signature by my bank. The trouble is I'm in Fiji and my bank is in the UK. I don't return home until the end of July and we were hoping to submit his application before I left.
does anyone have any suggestions on what I could do? Could I just print my online statements? Should we submit the application and then add the bank statements later?
One of the reasons I didn't want to submit my bank statements is that I've been paying off credit cards (that I used to fund my visits to see my now husband) so my outgoings are a lot higher than my incomings and I have barely any savings. I have included 3 years of my tax records and 2 years of payslips (mostly because I left the country before my most up to date P60 was ready). I earn well over the 18,600 so I was hoping that would be enough for them.
My husband is due to take his English test on the 4th July and we would have to wait for his certificate to come through, we were hoping to submit the application by the 24th July, so I still have some time to organise my bank statements. However getting anything sent here takes ages so I would have to sort it now!
Thank you for any advice/help you can offer me!
