Additional documents

Post by talk2ravi » Tue Nov 30, 2004 6:38 am

Hi,

I applied for HSMP in September.

I want to send additional documents to make my case stronger as it has still not been assigned to a case worker.

Can somebody give me the address please?

Do I mention my reference number on the cover?

Thanks.
Ravi

The address is:
HSMP PO Box: 3468 Sheffield

(from http://www.workingintheuk.gov.uk/workin ... /hsmp.html)

I did mention my reference number on the cover. I don't know if it helped. Anyway, they registered my additional documents 4 weeks after I sent them.

I wonder though, wouldn't that affect the apparent application date? I am of the opinion that the effective submission might be taken as the date of the final submission.

I would hope not for the sake of those who send in additional documentation after realising that they need to show stronger evidence.

When payment has been deducted and the application is sent to the processing queue, the reference number is alloted and that should be the submition date.

I spoke with the HSMP team earlier in oct, they said that additional documents can be sent (including the reference number) and it won't affect the date.

Hello ShoaibJaved,
Do you also have an email address to go with this by any chance?

I have sent some additional documents (without HO request, before my case treatment). In the cover letter I asked for a confirmation by email of receipt.

The package has been sent to :
HSMP Team, Work Permits (UK)
Home Office
Via: Foundry House
3 Millsands
Riverside Exchange
Sheffield
S3 8NH
United Kingdom

No confirmation during 6 weeks.

I sent a request for confirmation to WPCustomers <wpcustomers@ind.homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk> and after two weeks I got the following:

We suggest asking the HSMP team this on
'hsmp.workpermits@ind.homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk'. The WPCustomers team is only
for general questions about permissions only and would not have received
these documents.

Ok, sent it to hsmp.workpermits@ind.homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk and got on the second day the following:

I've sent my additional documents to the P.O.Box 3468 Sheffield Address on the 29th of November. My phone calls/emails have not been fruitful in eliciting a confirmation from them.

On top of all of this the websites refusal to be updated :-) is another source of constant joy.

additional docs and their relative effective dates

Post by lightbringer » Tue Jan 11, 2005 12:01 pm

Can anyone answer this question.
For example:
Say, I submitted my application on 31 August and now I have some extra evidence dated as of 30 December which can make my case a little stronger. But they said that the application will be considered as of the date it was received by HO. So will they pay attention to any such evidences sent post factum?
