Hello everyone my timeline is as follows
14 April 15 online application
22 April biomimetic and submission

I have requested an update on my case twice but both time I get the same reply on 01/06/15 and 19/June/15 (found that there are no current updates. This could be
because your application was submitted recently or the details that you
have provided above are incorrect). Although on my first email on 14/05/15 the reply was it has not been assessed. Just yesterday they have asked my details for escalation so don't know how long it takes. Anyways I pray for everyone to get with spouses.
1st application refused in jan 12/11/2014
2nd online application 14/04/15
2nd application submitted islamabad 22/04/15
Delayed email - 27/08/2015
Processed on update email 18/09/15
Official processed email - 28/09/15
RFC- 30/09/15 refused

I was under the impression that you could only escalate your case if it's been more than 12 weeks since the biometrics appointment? Do they normally escalate that early - the 8th week?

What is the process for asking for an escalation? I haven't read any such thing on any website. It's been nearly 10 weeks now and I must reach there soon for my sons school admission.

The process, I think if they fail to have an uptade for your requests then you can ask them if they could escalate your application so you can have an accurate status of ur application *I Prosume*

Thanks for replying Brom. That sounds more like them, I couldn't see them escalating a case early just because someone wanted it! Good luck with your case.

Normal process time for Settlement spousal applications are 12 weeks ... so yes, April people should start getting results back shortly ...

For spouses with Tier 2 sponsor, it is 15 days ...

I agree too, however what is your openion on the below source from Nadra official website:
https://www.nadra.gov.pk/index.php/nicophome
"Who can apply
NICOP is meant for Pakistanis who are working and / or living abroad. ."
NICOP is also a mandatory requirement for Pakistani citizens holding a visa for a country (other than Pakistan) valid for more than Six months
I have also read that NICOP card and Protected paasport is mandatory for anyone from Pakistan who hold Work permit visa but dot not require for the Visit or settlement visa.
On the link provided above it does not say that NICOP is only manadatory for workpermit visa but it says that NICOP card is manadatory for anyone who have visa for any other country longer than 6 month.
Please comments/advice on this
Isn't it the case that you get an initial 3 months visa and get 30 months after arrival.
Nope you get 30-day vignette to arrive in the uk, More likely 3 weeks by the time you get passport back.

Can someone confirm their spouse has arrived without Nicop card?
NICOP is not required for any visa to UK ...

NICOP is required when you are a Pakistani national with a non-pakistani passport living outside Pakistan. That way you don't need visa to visit Pakistan. Otherwise you can still hold a normal ID card even if you are living outside Pakistan. Only thing NICOP does is grant you visa free access to Pakistan.

They aim to clear all applications either way by 4 months at latest, so you should be getting a decision soon.
